The Shark PowerPro is for homes full of low furniture: beds, sofas and sideboards that a straight wand cannot get under without you kneeling down. Its Flexology wand bends forward so the floor head slides flat underneath while you stay upright. Flexology in practice
The bending wand has a second job: it folds over so the vacuum can stand on its own for storage. That means no wall bracket is required, which helps in rented homes. The listing gives the overall size as 114.3 cm high, 31.6 cm wide and 26.4 cm deep.
The battery is removable, so you can charge it wherever there is a free socket rather than near the storage spot.
FloorDetect, hair and allergens
The multi-surface floor head is designed to dig into carpet and stay in contact with hard floors. FloorDetect senses which surface it is on and adjusts brush-roll speed automatically. Anti Hair Wrap removes hair from the roll during cleaning.
Shark also lists an Anti-Allergen Complete Seal, meaning the machine is sealed so dust caught by the HEPA filter does not leak out elsewhere. Anti-odour technology appears in the features list too.
Runtime and weight figures
Up to 50 minutes is quoted, with the footnote that this is in ECO mode with a non-motorised tool. The spec table gives three power levels and an XL dust cup of 0.7 litres. Weight is confusing: the bullet says 5.68 kg, likely the boxed weight, while the spec table says 3.45 kg for the item.
The box includes a crevice tool, an upholstery tool and an accessory bag. Shark offers five years on registration, two years for batteries.
PowerPro, Stratos Pet Pro or Bosch Unlimited 7?
The Shark Stratos Pet Pro weighs 2.16 kg in use and quotes up to 60 minutes, with dirt sensing and a DuoClean head, but it has a cartridge filter rather than HEPA and no bending wand.
The Bosch Unlimited 7 has its own Flex Tube for low furniture and ships with two batteries, which suits larger homes better.
Verdict
The PowerPro is a sensible choice if you clean under low furniture a lot and want HEPA filtration and freestanding storage. Pet owners who value low weight should look at the Shark Stratos Pet Pro, and anyone who needs more runtime than one battery provides will be better served by the Bosch Unlimited 7.
