Cordless vacuum runtime planner
Enter your rooms and stairs, the share of time you spend on boost, and the eco and boost runtimes from the listing. Pure arithmetic.
In short
Cleaning minutes = rooms x minutes per room + flights x minutes per flight. Battery used = eco minutes / eco runtime + boost minutes / boost runtime. At 1 or below one charge is enough; above 1, round up for the number of full batteries.
Plan your clean
One charge: 97% used
29 minutes of cleaning: 23.2 on eco and 5.8 on boost.
Pure arithmetic. Makers measure runtime with a non-motorised tool, so with a motorised floor head the real runtime is usually shorter.
Black line: about 35 minutes for a typical three bedroom house clean.
A worked example
Six rooms at 4 minutes each plus one flight of stairs at 5 minutes is 29 minutes of cleaning. With 20% on boost, that is 5.8 minutes on boost and 23.2 on eco. On a machine rated 60 minutes eco and 10 minutes boost: 23.2 / 60 + 5.8 / 10 = 0.39 + 0.58 = 0.97, so one charge just covers it.
| Step | Formula |
|---|---|
| Cleaning minutes | rooms x minutes per room + flights x minutes per flight |
| Boost minutes | cleaning minutes x boost share |
| Eco minutes | cleaning minutes minus boost minutes |
| Battery used | eco minutes / eco runtime + boost minutes / boost runtime |
| Batteries needed | round the battery used up to a whole number |
Listing runtimes are measured with a non-motorised tool, usually on eco. With the motorised floor head the runtime is normally shorter, so leave some margin.
