The Dreame Z30 Ultra is a specification-led stick for people who compare numbers before they buy. Its listing pairs up to 330 AW of suction with HEPA H14 filtration and up to 90 minutes of runtime, yet gives the weight as just 2.2 kg. That mix of light weight and long runtime is what sets it apart in a field where the strongest machines tend to be the heaviest.
- Runtime (max)

In its favour
- The maker quotes up to 330 AW of suction from a 150,000 rpm motor.
- Up to 90 minutes of runtime is listed, the longest single-battery figure in this guide.
- A motorised mini brush is supplied for upholstery and stairs, plus a soft dust brush.
Good to know
- Spare parts and service support in the UK are less established than for Dyson or Shark.
- The listing does not give a noise figure or the charge time.
Our take
Motor and filtration on paper
Dreame credits a Turbo Motor spinning at 150,000 rpm with the 330 AW figure. Filtration is multi-layered and rated H14, which the listing says traps particles down to 0.1 microns at 99.99%. For allergy sufferers, that is the headline figure, as most rivals here quote HEPA without a grade.
Note that the AW rating is a manufacturer figure and is not directly comparable between brands that measure differently.
The lit brush and the three modes
The universal floor head uses CelesTect lighting, which Dreame says reveals hidden dust up to 16 times more effectively. The same head identifies floor type and changes its rotation speed. On top of that there are three suction modes: Auto adjusts itself, Eco stretches the battery, and Turbo gives maximum power for carpets.
The 90 minute figure will almost certainly come from Eco, so heavy carpet use in Turbo will shorten it considerably.
Accessories and daily handling
Besides the lit universal brush, the box includes a motorised mini brush for fabrics, a combination tool and a rotating soft dust brush. The listing names stairs, furniture, wallpaper and car interiors among its uses. The bin holds 0.6 litres and the controls are on a touchpad.
The listing does not say whether the battery is removable or how long a charge takes, which is worth checking if you have a large home.
Against the Dyson V15 Detect Animal and Dreame Z20
The Dyson V15 Detect Animal brings a particle sensor, a de-tangling comb and a dedicated hair tool, but is listed at 3 kg with up to 60 minutes. The Z30 Ultra wins on weight and stated runtime.
Dreame's own Z20 is lighter again at 2 kg, with the same 90 minute ceiling and 250 AW, plus a soft roller for hard floors. The Z30 Ultra is the stronger of the two on paper.
Verdict
The Z30 Ultra suits buyers who want strong filtration and long runtime without a heavy machine, particularly in homes with carpet. If you mostly have hard floors, the Dreame Z20 with its soft roller may fit better, and if hair tangles are the main problem, the Dyson V15 Detect Animal is the more hair-focused option.
