The Dyson V11 sits between the V10 and the V15 Detect in Dyson's range. It suits larger homes that want a full-size bin and an hour of runtime, plus an LCD screen, without paying for the particle sensor on the Detect models. For many households, it is the sensible middle of the lineup.

In its favour
- The LCD screen and three power levels are listed, so you can see and choose the mode.
- Up to 60 minutes of runtime and a 0.76 L bin match the V15.
- A HEPA filter and hair detangling are listed in the title.
Good to know
- The listing is thin: no weight in use, no suction figure and only an accessory kit named.
- It lacks the piezo dust sensor and particle readout of the V15 Detect.
Our take
A listing told mainly through its title
The bullets are only a barcode and a part number. The title carries the features: HEPA filter, 60 minute runtime, three speeds and three power levels, indoor use, two wheels, an LCD screen, hair detangling, a Hyperdymium motor and Radial Root Cyclone technology.
The spec table adds a 0.76 litre bin, 29.4 volts, 545 watts and a two year manufacturer warranty.
The screen and power levels in daily use
The LCD screen is the main step up from the V10, although this listing does not say what information it displays, so do not assume a runtime countdown or dust readout. Three power levels let you trade suction for battery life depending on the floor: the lowest for long sessions on hard floors, the highest for short bursts on deep carpet.
Hair detangling is listed as a feature, but the listing does not name the floor head or say how the detangling works, so check which head is included.
Bin, filter and weight
The 0.76 litre bin is the same size as on the V10 and V15, which means fewer trips to the bin in a larger house. Filtration is HEPA.
The weight is listed as 5.9 kg, which is almost certainly a shipping weight rather than the machine itself. The included components are described only as an accessory kit, and there is no mention of a wall dock, charge time or whether the battery can be removed.
V11, V10 Animal or V15 Detect Animal?
The Dyson V10 Animal has the same bin and runtime and three modes, with a torque drive head and a listed 2.66 kg, but no screen.
The Dyson V15 Detect Animal adds the piezo dust sensor, automatic power adjustment, a de-tangling comb and the Hair screw tool, at 3 kg. It is the one to choose if you want automatic suction adjustment.
Verdict
The V11 is a good choice for larger homes that want an hour of runtime, a big bin and a screen without the extra cost of sensing. If you can live without the screen, the Dyson V10 Animal is clearly documented and lighter, and if automatic suction and a hair tool appeal, go for the Dyson V15 Detect Animal.
