Our take
iLoop and the dual tanks
Tineco describes iLoop as its own smart sensor technology, adjusting three things at once: suction, the amount of water released and the speed of the brush roller. Sticky spills get more water and power, while a light dusting gets less, which helps the battery and the tank last.
The dual-tank design keeps clean solution and dirty water apart, so you always wash with fresh water. The clean tank is said to be 30% larger than the earlier Floor One, and the capacity is listed as 0.8 litres.
Edges, drying and maintenance
The S5 roller is designed to run close to baseboards and into corners. Tineco says floors are left dry and streak-free within minutes. The cleaning path is 20 cm wide.
Maintenance is largely automatic: a self-cleaning cycle flushes the inner tubing and the roller, so you do not handle a dirty roller. The pet hair strainer catches hair for easy removal, and a 3-in-1 docking station stores and charges the unit.
Runtime, noise and smart features
The spec table gives a runtime of 25 minutes, which is short compared with stick vacuums and means larger homes may need more than one charge. Noise is listed at 70 decibels, low for this kind of machine.
