The Unlimited Serie 8 ProPower is the Bosch to consider if you already own green Bosch 18V tools. Instead of shipping lots of batteries, Bosch pairs one interchangeable Power For All pack with an ultra-fast charger, and describes the result as near unlimited runtime when you rotate batteries. It sits above the Unlimited 6 and 7 in the range.

Our take
The battery and charger idea
The listing calls this a silent vacuum with infinite battery life, which really means the battery can be swapped and recharged quickly rather than that it runs forever. The specs give 35 minutes per charge and a charge time of 5 hours, so the fast charging benefit depends on the charger supplied and on having a second pack.
The same battery fits Bosch 18V home and garden tools in the green range, so owners of a Bosch drill, trimmer or mower may already have spares to hand.
Filtration and hygiene
Bosch fits a fine dust filter cartridge with a PureAir membrane, plus a hygienic filter, and stores the vacuum in a docking station. The dust container holds 0.3 L, the same as the rest of the Unlimited family.
Bosch says the high suction performance suits any surface, and the listing names hard floors, parquet, laminate and carpet.
What the listing does not tell you
The floor head is not named or described, so you cannot tell whether it has LEDs or the DynamicPower brush of the Unlimited 7. Accessories are listed as a furniture and cushion tool, a crevice tool and an XXL furniture adaptor with crevice tool.
Listed weight is 2.9 kg and dimensions are 128 cm high, 25.2 cm wide and 21.4 cm deep. There is no mention of a Flex Tube.
Against the Unlimited 7 BCS712GB and Unlimited 6 BCS612GB
The Bosch Unlimited 7 BCS712GB includes two batteries and a quick charger out of the box, with a listed 80 minutes, a Flex Tube and an LED brush, which makes it the stronger package for most homes.
The Bosch Unlimited 6 BCS612GB is lighter at 2.3 kg and quieter, and it also ships with two batteries for up to 60 minutes.
Verdict
The Unlimited 8 ProPower is mainly for Bosch tool owners who already have spare 18V batteries and want a premium body with a PureAir filter. Everyone else will get more runtime and better described features from the Bosch Unlimited 7 BCS712GB, while the Unlimited 6 BCS612GB is the light, quiet option for smaller homes.
